Pakistani business delegation enters Iran

TEHRAN, Aug. 19 (MNA) – The business delegation of Pakistan's Baluchistan province entered Iran on Thursday evening through Mirjaveh border to attend the third session of Iran-Pakistan Joint Committee for Border Trade.

The delegation led by the director of Pakistan Customs Service and including 11 Pakistani officials and businessmen was welcomed by a number of their counterparts in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

The third session of Iran-Pakistan Joint Committee for Border Trade will be held on Aug. 19 and 20 in Zahedan.

Head of Industry, Mines and Trade Office of Sistan and Baluchestan province said that, “two meetings on bilateral trade have already been held in Zahedan and Quetta, and the third session of the Joint Committee for Border Trade will be held in Zahedan.”

“The third session is aimed at discussing development of border trade between the two countries and to follow up the implementation of previous agreements,” said Nader Mirshekar.

Mirshekar stated that, “during this session, the Pakistani delegation will have separate meetings with Sistan and Baluchestan officials, merchants, tradesmen, artisans, and miners, and at the end the two sides will sign an agreement on border trade.”

“In the meetings, various topics including trade, customs, banking, transportation, visa, and quarantine issues will be discussed,” concluded Mirshekar.
